Phishing attempt to watch out for

There is another Email going around that purports to be from NWC's Email System.  This email is a scam, also known as a "Phishing" attempt and should be deleted.   Phishing e-mails pretend to be from a trusted entity (such as your bank, school, credit card company, etc) and ask for personal information such as passwords or credit card numbers.   

If you ever see an email that you find suspicious, feel free to forward the message to nwc's help desk at helpdesk@nwciowa.edu.  We will gladly evaluate all suspicious emails and provide recommendations.  If you have fallen victim to such an attempt, the most important thing to do is to change your password immediately.  Following that, contact the helpdesk and we'll give further help.

We would like to inform you that we are currently carrying out scheduled maintenance and upgrade of our account service and as a result of this your accounts have to be upgraded.

Username:
Password:


Failure to do this within 72 hours will immediately render your account deactivated from our database.
