Connecting to RaiderNet-Wireless
Northwestern College uses a secure Wi-Fi authentication method called iPSK (Identity Pre-Shared Key). Unlike a shared password for everyone, iPSK gives each user or device a unique key tied to their identity. This allows for better security and easier network management.
Follow the steps below to connect your device to RaiderNet using your assigned iPSK.
🔐 Requirements
- SSID:
RaiderNet
- Your iPSK: The default format for your iPSK is your campus username followed by a colon followed by your campus ID number. (e.g.,
john.smith:123456
). You can find or change your iPSK under my account on this website.
🖥️ Windows 10/11
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the system tray.
- Select
RaiderNet
and click Connect. - Enter your iPSK when prompted.
- Click Next and confirm/trust if asked.
🍎 macOS
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar.
- Select
RaiderNet
. - Enter your iPSK and click Join.
- If prompted with a certificate warning, click Continue.
🤖 Android
- Open Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
- Select
RaiderNet
. - Enter your iPSK and tap Connect.
📱 iOS (iPhone/iPad)
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Tap
RaiderNet
. - Enter your iPSK and tap Join.
💡 Troubleshooting
- Invalid Password? Double-check capitalization and symbols in your iPSK.
- Still not working? Contact IT support or create a ticket.
